Chasing Shia LeBeouf six blocks in Hollywood!!!

June 22, 2009

So today’s the day. . . . . .finally after all the hard work its time to see if it will all pay off. We are going to the Transformers 2 premier in Hollywood, Ca. Thinking that we should get to the premier early we head off to get as close to the action as possible, hoping to just catch the attention of Megan Fox and Shia LeBeouf ! ! !

After we get there 2 hours before the premier even began we realize we should have left a lot sooner then we did. Stuck on the side, stranded on the outskirts, we are held back by metal barriers. No sooner then us realizing how far away we really are Megan Fox arrives.

As Megan arrives in all white looking beautiful as ever she waves hi to the crowd and begins making her way. Heading toward the madness she says hi, signs a few autographs and then makes her way to the red carpet. Our first missed opportunity.

Moments later though the main event . . . Shia arrives. Dressed in a grey suit he steps out and the crowd goes wild. After waving hi for a few moments he makes his way through the crowd stopping just for a minute then right onto the red carpet.

Yet again feeling as if we had missed our chance we watch as they all make there way inside. Let down and disappointed we stand there deciding whether to go or stay ? To take another chance and maybe face yet another let down ? As we decide to leave Shia comes back out ! ! ! With my last chance of catching his attention I hold up my art . . . . .as he hops in his SUV he roles the back window down and I get a thumbs up ! ! ! Still not settling for just a thumbs up I take off a cross the street through the crowd and security hoping to get my art signed.

Stopped at the light I run up to the window. Explaining my art and asking for an autograph the light turns green and they begin to drive off. Grabbing thee art from my hands my boyfriend Steve takes off down the street after them. Trying to keep up with him as he runs weaving in and out traffic and people I lose him. Not being able to keep up I slow down to a walk trying to catch my breath back. We had run six blocks already! I felt like a crazy paparazzi trying to catch celebrities! Turning the corner I see him walking back towards me smiling ear to ear . . . . .he had got it ! ! ! I look in amazement my first art piece of someone ever signed by them, but the best part of the whole experience was when Steve told me he said it was "BAD ASS". . . . and to think all it took was running in traffic for a little bit. . .

Now our next challenge . . . . .finding where we parked at again ! ! !

R.I.P. Michael Jackson

June 25, 2009

OMG The King of Pop was announced dead today…..The world including myself are shock….

July 2, 2009

So with all this Michael Jackson drama going on, I decided to head down to California from Texas to pay my respects. My boyfriend Steve and I are taking a 24 hr drive to get there. I plan to sell some MJ portraits to those fans who would love an original art piece of mine to keep as a memorabilia of the great King of Pop.

July 5, 2009

We are now in California. Today Steve and I headed down to the Hollywood walk of fame to visit MJ’s star and display some art of mine for sale. It was an interesting experience watching all the fans crowded around his star, lights from the cameras flashing everywhere, very quiet as we all share one thing in common…grieving for the great loss as we all remember the joy he had brought to each and every one of us.

I was able to display my artwork and sell a couple to those passing fans on the walk of fame. I received a lot of amazing feed back from others and also the media. I even did a few interviews as well.

July 6, 2009

Yet again today we made another trip to Hollywood. It wasn’t as crowded as Sunday but still a great number of people were out and about. We only stayed for a few hours until we decided to pack up and head to Michaels home in Encino where more fans were paying there respects. It was very calm and quiet there as everyone gathered around the estate gates. I left one of my pieces hanging on a tree along with other gifts that fans left.

July 7, 2009

Tomorrow is the memorial for Michael and unfortunately Steve and I are not able to get tickets so we made a trip to Staples Center to experience what we can even as outsiders so to say. There were hundreds of fans out there ! All waiting to get a chance to write there good-byes on the huge canvases they had out here paying their respects to the King of Pop. Tons of media were all around, people selling everything from MJ gloves to T-shirts to memorabilia books, including myself with my eco art. There were also multiple MJ inpersinators but of course there were none that came anywhere close to the real thing himself. We stayed there all night and what I loved most was that you can just feel all the love in the air as so many fans gathered around to dance, sing, laugh, cry, and just be there to celebrate Michaels life….

July 8, 2009

Today’s the memorial at Staples Center. I watched it on TV as millions of others did around the world. The service was very emotional and sad…. I think it finally hit everyone that Michael is really gone.

Steve and I decided to go on a little road trip up to Neverland Ranch which is up in Santa Barbara. It was a nice drive as we drove up there in the dark night. We got up there so late that we ended up spending the night in my car till the early morning. I guess all the vendors that have been camping out there all these days had to leave so it was very empty. It was very peaceful though to just be up there and feel the spirits of the King of Pop. I left a piece of my work up there as well, right in front of the gates to Neverland. This was the definitely the final thing we wanted to do to complete our MJ trip as we are now preparing to hit the road back to Texas… 24 hour drive!!!

On a mission to catch Ellen Degenerous!!!!

September 23, 2009

Ellen is my Favorite celebrity...right Next to Oprah. I love them both and watch there show everyday!!!! One of my dreams is to meet them both and give them one of my art pieces. I am on a mission and detemined to make this happen, starting with Ellen!

My first attempt was back in May when I went to Ellens Backlot Bash show! My art unfortunately did not make it so my plan failed! I waited all Summer long for Season 7 to come and now its here! I made sure that everything is ready for today! I flew from Dallas to LA for the show! My newspaper art is of Ellen and Portia framed in black and is 45x45. My goal is to personally give it to her and get a hug! And of course hear that she loves it!

So I get to the show and I'm getting tons of attention from everyone. They all love it and is rooting for me! I ask everyone that I could on the staff if it's possible to make the dream a reality but unfortunately got shot down. Due to security reasons, they have to check in the gift and Ellen usually doesn't get it till the end of the week. I was extremely bummed and there's nothing I can do about it. Not giving up, I spoke with a few more people to see if there is any way around this but there isn't. They said that they will try there best to give it to Ellen soon though. So they took it out of my hands and now I'm keeping my fingers crossed, hoping she contacts me....

As far as the show goes, it was AMAZING!!!!! So much fun!!! I danced until the carpet ripped! LOL it was the best thing ever! Just to see Ellen live! I love that women! She inspires me and I hope that I will get the opportunity someday to meet her! I'm not giving up though! I will get this accomplished if it's the last thing I do!!!
